Education - De La Salle College

Overview of problem: The occasional act of vandalism can be very inconvenient, not least the fact that the school is also the residence of several De la Salle Brothers. The school adjoins a public park and late night activity in the park has sometimes meant that persons entered our site, sometimes with malicious intent.

Results: We installed the Netwatch System in 2008 and immediately saved on the significant cost of our on-site security guard. We had a camera system already, so a Netwatch detection system with speakers around the building was installed. Netwatch now monitor the site after hours, with several late night entrants to the site already being warned off by Netwatch Monitoring Staff with audio warnings.

Distribution - CMS Peripherals

Overview of problem: Historically, they had manned guards on the site and approached Netwatch for an alternative solution.

Results: The system has picked-up intruders on several occasions, with the most recent and certainly the most serious being in November 2010, where several masked intruders were spotted and hid in the bushes as the Gardaí arrived.

Consultancy - Deloitte

Overview of problem: Deloitte, was appointed Receiver and Manager of Waterford Crystal Limited in January 2009. The assets of the company included a site located in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford comprising 15 acres with over 15,000sq meters of manufacturing and administrative buildings which was protected initially by manned guards.

Results: Netwatch alarm monitoring equipment has detected all attempted intrusions onto the site and have successfully managed the situation in each case. Deloitte have been impressed by the level of customer service within Netwatch and particularly the details provided to me when there has been an attempted intrusion, nuisance or anti-social behavior at the site.

Retail - Arboretum

Overview of problem: We had a traditional CCTV system installed on the site; but as part of a major development project in 2004 we decided to look at the site security as a whole.

Results: Netwatch have picked up intruders on several occasions and having a live update from the site when there is an issue is invaluable.
