CMS Peripherals Case Study PDF Print E-mail

CMS Peripherals is the largest supplier in the UK & Ireland of computer related accessories; with everything distributed from their warehouse in London.

Historically, they had manned guards on the site and approached Netwatch for an alternative solution in 2009, following a meeting between David Walsh and the owner of CMS at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Camp in Haiti. Netwatch designed a perimeter and internal CCTV system, and the team installed the site in Harlesden, North London.

Chris Harris, facilities manager for CMS complimented the Netwatch install team on their efficiency, speed and neatness during the install.

The system has picked-up intruders on several occasions, with the most recent and certainly the most serious being in November 2010, where several masked intruders were spotted and hid in the bushes as the police arrived.

Netwatch was able to let the police know that the guys were hiding on the site and the police called for back-up, including a dog team to ensure that they had sufficient numbers.

The intruders were apprehended, and Chris followed up with an email the following day to compliment Netwatch on a job well done. His comment that he “definitely had the best security system in the world,” is a fitting testament to the hard work of all the Netwatch team involved in this project.
