Tony is part of a consortium that has built up a portfolio of international properties over the last four years.  “One of the main headaches has been security,” explains Tony, “with expensive local security charges on several of our properties without us really knowing if we are getting value for money, for example, we purchased some retail units near Malaga where the annual bill for hourly patrols at night was €30,000 and even though we were paying this the premises was burgled on a regular basis”.
