System Design
From an initial no obligation security survey by a security specialist, Netwatch can specify all necessary equipment or use a client's existing equipment, supplementing existing installations as necessary - for example with audio equipment. Netwatch will co-operate with a client's preferred equipment supplier/installer and assume responsibility for monitoring thereafter.
Once all necessary on-site equipment is installed, connection to the Netwatch Monitoring Centre is by telephone lines or satellite. At the Netwatch Control Centre, the client's site is programmed into the computer system with all relevant data including an interactive site diagram.
Fire and general burglar systems can also be connected to the system and monitored in conjunction with cameras.
Systems can also be armed or disarmed from the monitoring centre and proactive surveillance of any site can also be offered through the use of camera patrols, particularly valuable to those sites prone to problems not associated with alarms.
What happens when an incident occurs
Cameras and related detectors protect your property. When a perimeter or secure area is breached and the detectors are activated, an instant alarm signal is sent to the remote monitoring centre, along with live video and audio feeds.
The central control panel on site can accept alarm activated input from many sources including panic buttons, PIR detectors, external beam detectors or fire and burglar alarms.
Images of the cause of the alarm are transmitted to the monitoring centre and the operator can visually assess the on-site conditions and make a skilled judgement whether or not to call a keyholder or the Gardai. In this way nuisance alarms can be verified, without the need for Garda intervention. Remote monitoring of images, captured on the camera system, is made possible by the latest technological advances in digital recording and storage.
When it is determined necessary to immediately notify keyholders and Gardai of a crime in progress, the skilled operator can provide vital information such as description of perpetrators, type of vehicle or vehicles used, registration numbers, etc. The operator can also listen in to the site and can issue an audio warning to the miscreant that the incident is being monitored and recorded. In 99% of cases the audio warning is enough to deter potential trouble.
The operator can also control items such as lights, gates or doors automatically from the monitoring centre, if this facility is chosen.
Site activity records are stored on computer disk for a period of thirty days and all incidents can be stored for ninety days or longer if required. Incident reports are produced for any alarm which required an action. This reporting includes video files which can be forwarded upon request to the client.
A full set of all incident reports are available to our clients via the Extranet facility on this web site.
